not so pretty now

so saturday morning at some point the stitch in my neck tore from me skin, so it was no longer holding my skin together.  it didn’t hurt or anything like that.  when i looked in the mirror though i could see something was wrong.  it was pretty easy to see the tube from my catheter sitting right there, so i called my parents to come home to take me to the er.  i was there for a while, since it was super super busy.  all the ended up doing was put a dressing over it and starting me on some antibiotics.  i was really hoping at the time that they’d just stitch it back up and that would be it.  instead they said id have to get it replaced again, which happened today.  it went pretty well and i actually did it this time without any sedation, which was kind of nice.  i don’t feel all out of it now.  the only problem was for some reason i guess my pulmonary artery got bumped a little or something, so i ended up coughing up some blood right after it was over.  that, of course, super freaked me out and the surgeon had to repeatedly explain to me that i was fine and it wasn’t an uncommon issue.  but i’m fine and haven’t coughed anything up for hours.  ugh.  i just hope i get a nice long break from this surgery stuff.  im seriously over it.  all is well right now though.
